New magazine wants writers

We are a band new online magazine launching in September - we are looking for writers.
The magazine is aimed at parents of young children, so the articles we are looking for is baby/children related, health and even recipes. Or if you have any ideas you would like to include, (5 minute fiction, children's actvities, etc) feel free to contact me.
What we are proposing to do is print your article in exchange of promotion to begin with. (Possible payment when the magazine creates revenue!)
The promotion we are offering you is; create you a 2 page mini site where you can promote yourself, your books/articles/poetry etc. Then - on the page where your article is printed, we will include a direct link to your mini site.
If you are interested please e-mail me. Any suggestions will be considered.

Hi Julie, I am a mum to a 3 year old and have a 'bump' due in March. I am a primary school teacher and aspiring writer. I am close to completing a children's book and have recently finished a ghost story for a competition. I have only recently begun writing again so may not be worthy of my own 'mini site'. However, I am constantly coming up with ideas for magazine articles and have looked into the industry (which seems to be very hard to get into). Therefore, showcasing articles on an online magazine might well be the way in I was looking for. I have a sense of humour and am constantly thinking that my life at present would greatly amuse people if only they knew the 'nitty gritty'. I am proposing articles, 'Sex in the City' style that begin with a question about parenthood, being a working mum, taming toddlers, etc... that I then research using my life as a base (changing the names to protect the innocent). E.g. ' I told my husband yesterday that my life would be easier if things were a they were 50 years ago and women didn't have the choice. THE choice...life goals, career, children...It would be easier (I moaned) if I HAD to stay at home and look after the kids. Then I wouldn't feel that I needed to work to get that 4-bed detached, my heart wouldn't tear in half everytime I left my child in Nursery and I wouldn't be this psychotic woman who is constantly tired and never really has any time for herself. Is it possible in today's world for women to have it all? WHAT is the right choice? And what factors come into play when women are assessing their lives and making their choices? [%sig%]
