Sitcom
I'm sitting here in a sweat of indecision. The sitcom I've written is finished. The first episode is printed out and I've written a brief summary of all 10 episodes. But now comes the crunch: how do I send it out?
I have the names, addresses and email addresses of several commissioning editors and programme managers, but how do I send it? By email, by post...?
If any of you have any ideas I'd love to hear them!
[%sig%]
Stephen, I loved your carrots stories! Don't know if they would accept it for a sit com
By post, definetly. Have you seen the bbc 3 contest, i am working on that just now, it's going quite welL. Whats the jist of your sitcom ? where did you get the info for the commisioning editors and programme managers, any roads good luck.
bah. Get some rights of passage first or it'll end up filed under under s.
Has Tony read it?
No, Tony hasn't read it.
No, I haven't seen the BBC 3 contest, Stephen. Can you send me a link?
*rights of passage*
hahahahahaha
There is a list of book shops in your area that have the book which is free. I got one yesterday and am quite excited about it. Will try and find the list but the storys are going on the web site soon if you can't find the book. I recently tried to start up a sitcom writing group in my area but no-one was interested which i though surprising as i just stay down the road from bbc Scotland. Im write in to writing sitcoms.
I have a question.
I'm scripting my carrots stuff in to a sitcom format but do you think making a sitcom about a homeless tramp is a go, i mean i used to be one myself so im not just laughing at people and of course if the script was successful i would give 50% of the money to homeless projects. Any feedback on this?
Thanks for the info Stephen...however, I doubt I'd find anything like that in my areas as I live in Amsterdam.
I think you have 80% more chance of acceptance with your sitcom about a homeless tramp in Scotland than I have with my London-based sitcom about an astrophysicist, a writer of romantic fiction, a web developer and a chorus girl.
Not based on Mavis the tap dancing, science fiction writting, astophysicst from Luton who does web-design in her spare time?
