You know that thing...
i asked you to do at the live event. You were all magnificent - in fact a tad too magnificent - to start with - but you've all stopped again now! Could you carry on discreetly? Please!
For those desperate to know what this thing is - email me!
Well I wasnt there... but i know what the thing was. Ive been doing it for ages.
*polishes halo*
Old habits die hard I guess.
Is it not mentioning the word 'fish' for no particular reason? Fish so, I'm not very good at it...but go on what is the fishin' thing?
Ohhh, I love secrets...please don't say more.
I have carried on discreetly for some years now, but it's only a matter of time before they catch me........
[%sig%]
Is this to do with that Tom hanks film?
Was he ever in Oz?
no but judy garland was
That was a movie set.
The majority, here, can't tell the difference, Denver!
Yes, I agree!
I clearly remember Tony asking everyone to buy my chapbook and there was a magnificent response - in fact, a tad too magnificent ... I sold twice as many as I had been led to believe I would by connoiseurs of the live-reading circuit - but you've all stopped now! Could you carry on, indiscreetly? Please?

Seriously, I'm not very good at self-publicity and had naively hoped that the mentions of my book in the thread about the live event would generate a few more sales... zilch so far.
It isn't a self-produced pamphlet nor is it a collection of everything I've ever written and only edited for typo's like so many others.
It IS 23 pages of my poetry selected - and heavily critiqued - by two editors and well presented, with a quality cover, by Douglas W Gray - the owner of Koo Press.
It can be bought online via abebooks but the delivery charges seem exorbitant unless you buy several books. Best bet is to email me direct for a copy.
£3.50 + 50p p&p.
Go on, you know it makes sense... you really don't want me promoting this all over this place do you?
Apologies to newbies for not having much on the site at the moment ... my submissions seem to come out double spaced, which holds me back from posting new stuff and also, I can be a fickle character at the best of times and often delete whole folders of work (which i did last year and the year before).
If you want a recommendation, just ask here and I'm sure that one of those wonderful, gorgeous, witty, intelligent, good writers who, quite uncoerced (mainly) bought my book, will respond.
Yours,
grovellingly,
an apprentice poet.
ps. I would like to point out to newbies that if I hadn't interacted with abctales, I probably would not have started writing poetry, let alone being asked to publish some of it... have faith, learn from others and you never know what might happen.
Ah, you were referring to the other 'thing' weren't you, Tony.
Oops.
