interesting read robert. i can see why all those ample ladies were angry with you, however for me it doesnt go far enough, the quote above is for me the centre of your whirlwind, and I feel that there are many overweight people out there who have played this game until they have become masters at it (its like computer games, more played - more levels) and now its become addictive, they could no more give up the persona (the identity) than they could swim the english channel overnight.

they have become happier with themselves so instead of flagulating they are actually recieving rewards from beng fat... its like single parent hood or being gay ..........its something they are.... some might argue its preprogrammed into some before birth....

Hmmm. Thought provoking. I'm not so sure guilt is at the root of it though. Many people with serious obesity issues have emotional issues, even abuse, as an underlying reason for their eating problems, just as people with eating disorders (at the opposite end of the spectrum) have anger and/or control issues as the root.
