I liked this - it reminded me of Thomas Hardy - both in rhythm and sentiment. Lots of unspoken suggestion in a gentle, lilting structure.

I enjoyed the mundane observations; there is a melancholic note to it, almost fatalistic. As galfreda says, the structure is lilting and almost sing-song. Interesting!
