2007 English Association Fellows' Poetry Prize

Thought I'd let you know that I was awarded second prize for a poem which talers know as Lipstick but in its earlier incarnation was 'At the end".

It was a great encouragement being only the the second competition I have entered since 'returning' to poetry.

I'd like to thank ABCtales for being such a supportive group of writers- 'At the end/Lipstick' was cherry picked and the feedback was challenging.

Congratulations Kim. I particularly like your use of the euphemism 'challenging' which much join other favourites such as 'tired and emotional' and 'Ugandan discussions.'

Well I guess I could have added 'personally' or 'creatively' but I'm a minimalist. But thank you anyway for the feedback, then and now.
