Thanks Rhiannon! You must be ancient! At least as old as my mother would be? My oupa (grandad) had a saying, " a man is like good whiskey, he only improves with age, a woman is like milk, first it goes thick, then sour". He was very well known for his jokes it's him on the photo, with my grandma and great-granddad. 

The young man of course is my late dad. Athol John.

If they were married in 1966 and we in 1970, then they were probably about 4 years older than us.

I've just done a poem about growing old like wine, not like milk as in Proverbs16:31. That is, maturing in a good way, not geing sour and unhelpful! Rhiannon
