the comic relief song

I'm assuming it is but I've got smash hits tv on and Gareth Gates is singing Spirit in the Sky with various 'comedy' characters in the background. FANTASTIC!

I may have to 'do the honourable thing' now I've admitted I like a Gareth song.

No Justyn, I think he's pulled it off! Sorry Jon, I am on the wagon due to previously mentioned financial embarrassment (and extremely jealous of you presently) so I cannot join in the fun and don the cap of irony with regards to this abomination. The Kumars is quite a funny show, but that line at the end of this song - "Is it too late to get Will Young?" - I mean - they can do better than that...they f**king well would for their own show, the very thing that puts food on the table. I hate comic relief, pubs filled with office dickheads dressed as Roman emperors rattling shrapnel boxes. Get out of my f**king pub you Daffy-duck tie wearing you-don't-have-to-be-mad-to-work-here Colin Hunt-meets-Dave-Brent C**T!

Dunno, Missus, but I suspect he's related to William.

it's a terrible song. Absolutely terrible. Gareth Gates should have been executed a long time ago. That's all there is to it.

if you wanted a good song, you shouldn't have looked to a charity record, least of all a comic relief one. anyone else noticed how gareth gates looks exactly like a manga character? big spikey hair, massive baby eyes, no nose at all, trendy clothes. i say he gives up the singing career and starts fighting 80's robots in neon post-apocalyptic cities.

well now, are we back to the great Norman Greenbaun Spirit in the Sky, sung by Gareth? If that's the case, it's a great song, one that would be hard for even a dweeb like Gareth to mess up...:))

Indeed - but I stand by my earlier statement that the Dr and the Medics version is the definitive one ... (I am hanging my head in shame - but there's still time for more gin so I may sink lower ...)
