Your lovely words brought out

Good words about a terrible situation Paul.
I hope we see brick walls daubed in belief again soon.
I was interested to read about your son. I hope he keeps safe and well. Not all Russians are mad war-mongering dictators.

In Bulgaria where I live, taking off your shoes to enter someone's house is a centuries old tradition. It causes great offence if we don't take them off. The host will usually have a supply of knitted woollen slipper / sock type things to offer...

We've been taking some stuff
Posted on Wed, 02 Mar 2022

Thank you Frances for taking the time to read and your kind comment.
I can understand why you haven't been able to find the words. When I was writing my own I my mind was filled with sadness and anger. I couldn't get the words out quick...

I can't think of a worse

I can't think of a worse dilemma. How do they know that what they are going to is any better than what they are leaving behind?
I think of all those people from the Middle East and Africa who risk their lives and their children's lives to...

Excellent words Di. I read

Excellent words Di. I read your poem more than a couple of times to take it all in. I feel your frustration. It matches my own.
As innocent people and brainwashed young troops die in their thousands and the rest of us live in fear for the...
