Book Review:

We follow Aldo, a family man who also happens to be Edinburgh's top man, a working class mafia boss. He is feared all over with important contacts worldwide. He thinks nothing of ridding the world of anyone who dares to get in his way. He adores his wife Roxy, 18 year old daughter, Jen and their family pet Staffy, Bruce.
The bond between Aldo and Bruce is a unique, unbreakable bond and are both very interesting characters.

I went in to this book knowing very little, only that it is written entirely in East Coast Scots. It is my first book by this author, however it is his third book as the title suggests. I do not feel that I missed anything by having not read the previous books however I will certainly be reading those too.

I loved everything about this book. The Scots language is fantastic, it did take me a minute,,, yes, I am Scottish, but it took a wee minute to get into the flow of it as in my experience it is not often in written form and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We need more, much more please.

The story, it so enjoyable. It is a fast paced novel and the excitement and suspense certainly builds the further you get in to it. Its edge of your seat stuff and I didnt want to put it down. It has some disturbing or gorey scenes which wont put you off because of the great Scottish whit and banter. There are lots of laugh out loud moments. I think there's a great mix of satirical humour throughout to keep you hooked.

I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it''
