My Dad's Funeral and a good friend's wedding on the same day!
Posted by Ray Schaufeld on Fri, 04 Aug 2017
Marathon day on Sunday. Dad's funeral in North London in the morning followed by the family gathering immediately after. Then one of my oldest friends is getting married in the afternoon in Bournemouth! Mum knows my friend Ruth and has kindly agreed that I can get on the 16.39 from Waterloo and enjoy part of Ruth and Paul's wedding reception. Tickets and accomodation booked and I have been given time off work. Travelling from Exmouth to London tomoz and returning from Bournemouth to Exmouth on Monday evening. Currently keeping it all together with help from friends and from some of my family.

back in little Exmouth now. Funeral went better than I anticipated. I said a few words before Dad's cremation and read Psalm 23, The Lord is my Shepherd as I have recnently found the words helpful. It was also a chance to catch up with family friends who I had not seen for 10 years. Then as soon as I arrived in Bournemouth I began to relax. The wedding was great, over 100 guests. I got there in time for the desset and the after meal blessings. Then we were all in the danceroom for the drinking and dancing! We had a wonderful time and wished Ruth and her husband Paul long life

And back to work today today!
And back to work today today! Not my interesting job, I start back teaching flash fiction writing in September, simply cleaning the cinema. And listening to the builders, who are good, talking about the major refurbishment of the lobby. Today they are knocking the wall down that joins the kebab shop next door and the estimated completion date for all the work is the October school holdiday.
Off to my boyfriend's house for a cuppa and then going to ukulele club in the evening
