Alphabet You Can't – Game Over

Wow ! Having struggled with this for years, I'm bowled over by the number, and diversity, of the entries. 19 in all.

We've had entries including army buddies and ABC itself, Buddhists, babies and ballet, cooking, DNA, Eastenders, fish, fabric and financial advice, the Olympics, sailing, sci-fi and sheep, and two lots of zebras. Almost an alphabet of subjects in itself  Oh and one backwards ..

It's difficult to pick a favourite, they were all so good and so different, but I think my favourite two must be TJW's very original take creating a poignant reminiscence of his comrades in arms, and ScoZen's Buddhist entry where the theme is consistent and coherent for all 26 letters.

I'd like to thank Claudine for her encouragement when I first suggested it, Jay for generously offering to donate another $25, and of course everyone who took the time and trouble to enter.      

And who knew there were so many words beginning with 'x' ? New words I've learned are 'Xanthippe', 'xenium', 'xenomorph', 'xanthic', 'xenodochial ' and 'xenogeneic '.
