POETRY MONTHLY

Poetry   Monthly – August

Hello all and thanks to people who contributed to the Poetry Monthly theme for July – Where I Write.

As usual, quality and range was impressive.  Here are some poems to go back to:

Now, on to August.  Picture this - I’m sitting in a swing seat in a French garden, looking up at the sky through the trees.  The pine cones and acorns in the tangle of branches vie for attention, but it’s the insistent blue of the sky that I notice the most.  It’s hard from this angle to see which is higher – the sky, or the trees; so this month’s theme is: Blue Sky Tree High.

Make of it what you will, but maybe add some whimsy.  The world needs it these days and if you can’t be whimsical in August, I’m not sure when you can be.

Looking forward to reading what you write and see you next month,

Noo ☺
