Story and Poem of the Month

Many thanks to Mark Say for taking the time to pick his favourite story and poem from December - and a Happy New Year to all!

Here we go with the picks of the month.

Poem - Have You Seen My Sister? by Jane Hyphen
https://www.abctales.com/story/jane-hyphen/have-you-seen-my-sisterAn entertaining and moving combination of whimsy, clever alliteration and a sense of having lost a treasured relationship. It conveys a reflection on someone close who wanted the unattainable and subsequently lost their hold on life.

Story - These Games We Play With The Universe by rosaliekempthorne

An intriguing tale of a brief infatuation, wrapped up with the narrator’s obsession with mathematics. It creates a distorted sense of reality that makes us wonder about the narrator's perception of the world, and I liked the fact that the female character is the geeky one.
