Leggings - Strange Requests!

Leggings – Strange Requests...

Since yesterday of bouts of them waiting about for deliveries which didn't come (to my knowledge) or in case I bought something online, so that they could read my mind at some arcane point, and take any monies or good s that they could... They started to make strange requests for me to open a time tunnel.

“We waiting until you do,” snarled one of them. “You did it last time! You got us all through!”

“Even if I did, I can't do it this time,” I pointed out shortly. “You had my Grandfathers notes on the subject, which might have pushed my memory towards it, and I can't remember at all. Not time tunnels!”

“You told us your Grandfather locked them all down!”

“Oh those! Well, Yeh! They were dangerous, not safe to use. And there aren't any more.”

“You'd say anything, you want us all to die here!” wailed the voice crossly.

“You wanted to come and take over Earth!” I pointed out, “Soon there will be nothing left, look at the news, its really getting bad.”

“look,” it wheedled shamelessly, “We don't want to die here, we want to go back into Time!”

“I can't do it,” I said slyly, “You had everything I should have had, even my medicated chocolates, you killed or hurt the other one like me, and there has to be two of us to do it. It took Grandfather and me, and he knew how!”

There was a short silence.

“Now you're being mean!”

“No, I'm being honest!”

I could hear Mabel and Pearl arguing in the background, something was going wrong. Was it them? Or was it the Snake people? Did they exist here now? Were they stuck? Had they somehow poisoned nature itself....

The removal and missing species were beginning to scare me, what if Nature herself had gone...

“You're supposed to help the humans get out of here!” This one sounded male.

“No, I'm supposed to write books with ideas in them, that they perhaps can use.”

“Your Grandfathers notes say, that if they damage you in any way then your books won't help them, because of the damage they've done to you...”

“That's possibly true.” I said slowly, “Yet I have tried to help. With the Mission Earth series on my booksite.”  (www.anglohenge.co.uk)

“Are you going to write the next one?

“Its mostly written, I've lost momentum from being mind read all the time, I mean, I object to having my not finished books, talked about on radio shows... before I publish them!”

“Oh that's just us having fun!” he said, “If you don't like us , you should have moved into the Army camp when they asked for you!”

“They didn't ask me, and you are presuming!”

“So are you finishing that book?”

“No.”

“Why not?” he was shaken. He'd probably sold it either the film rights or the book itself to some loopy young wannabe! On the radio it was going to be, of course she didn't actually write it, I mean her! Etc etc.

“If I do finish it, I'm not sure its going to be useful. I'm ordered to stay here as well to guard the earth. So no matter what happens here, the planet will be guarded.”

“Will that mean you have to go back to up there?” asked a female voice.

“No plans to do that, I mean you have all the paperwork so that one is up to you!”

“So where do you plan to go then?” You could hear the greed in th e voice, “I mean it will have to be safer than here, won't it, your dreams tell the truth, man will hunt man, then and so will the dogs come....”

“Shut up!” I said and put on the TV. My recurring dreams bother me. Its always a jungle nearly....

“Where?” said the male coldly,, “Where will you go?”

“Home to th e hall,” I said calmly, “After its over, everywhere is open to me, its all empty. There are high walls, and hidden spaces there. I'd survive nicely.”

They babbled on in wasp – behind the walls... it appeared that up there (if that was where they'd been) was entirely empty. They didn't like humans much. They were cross that the other aliens had already left.

“it was a few years back you reckoned the aliens all left,” he said finally to me.

“yes,” I agreed, “I heard the engines as they went off earth.”

“What about your family,” he said thoughtfully.

“They have the same chances as we all do,” I pointed out. “The Earth people are in this together, we either make it or we don't.”

“Won't God help you?”

“Mostly people don't believe in God anymore or enough, or in the right way,” I said firmly. “I wish they did, everytime there is a bad one, they find themselves cropping a little bit away, like the one about not believing in the Bible... It has repercussions!”

“You mean God is a terrible person!”

“No, Man was made in Gods image, and he's not into hero worship at all, you have the choice of belief. Yet it must be a relief when you all grow up a little,” I half smiled, “It must have been agony to have all that pressure all the time!”

“So God won't mind?” he said, he sounded half scared.

“I don't think so,” I answered him, “I think this is about Mankind growing up... rites of passage... through the ice age... and the planet's deteriation!”

“We only wanted to go back a bit,” he said upset, “A few years, to when Life was good! All round the place people are already moving on, and I don't know where....”

“The hive is losing its boundaries...” I said quietly, knowing that he felt the web he lived in dissipate all around him. It was his support. Soon it would be gone!

Now they are reading this as I'm typing it up for my blog! The devil has many jobs for its followers.

“Remember to tell them all that you've got all my stuff, and are here ready to save them all!” I said grimly, “and I hope you can!”
