Time to Stop

Am feeling a bit blogged out. I want to do well in my coursework, but doubt it’s only that. Was wondering, in an egocentric fashion, how getting around 4,000, sometimes 12,000?, reads could result in ne’er a cherry. Quickly sussed, blogs are out of scope for cherries. Fair enough. Pretty soon, came to enjoy the freedom from the chase of the cherry. The complete liberation of it. Like no Oscars for comedies. It’s an unwritten rule. It’s a crap rule, but they make comedies anyway. In an unfair world, if cherry-absenteeism is all I have to contend with, am doing brilliantly well. Then, I came to relish the no cherry-checking space in my day, in my thoughts. Writing in order to write. No longer the Pavlovian response to Admin emails announcing cherry-pickability. No longer writing the words for reward, other than being read, the whole reason for posting a blog. Otherwise, could just write it in one of the many and varied blank or half-empty notebooks piling up all around. Have I run out of things to write about? Rant about? Definitely not the latter. Have Christmas cards to design, an essay to write. So am taking a break. There’s one more Bus Pass Lady adventure, written months ago, which have posted too, for which I can only apologise, but perfectionism requires, I simply have to finish the series. God help us, there are two more to go, and perhaps, once I’ve finished the coursework and had a bit of a brain rest, got out into the countryside again, will finish those last two Bus Pass Lady adventures. A Mystery Moor – buses don’t go to moors. Or, Kirrin Island, which was actually a peninsula. Have lost the will to type just thinking about them. Time to stop then. For now.
