The book takes place in the year 2903.

The human race has spread to the ends of solar system, their colonies scattered on almost every moon. The human race, once happy and safe are now on the edge of extinction due to an unstoppable enemy from the depths of space. The people are dying and desperate. Everything they’ve tried has met with failure and there seems no chance of survival. With options rapidly running out the Prime Minister of Great Britain proposes a drastic and questionably immoral idea, the use of genetically enhanced clones.

Viltoris, an enhanced clone, is created and sent to be tested on Jupiter’s moon Ganymede. Viltoris struggles with the truth that he is a clone and that all of his childhood memories are false and begins to loose grip on reality. The Prime Minster, foreseeing this possibility, sends a team government approved mercenaries to follow Viltoris progress and orders them to wipe out the clone if he shows any signs of insanity.
