long-hair

I washed my hair today using shampoo and conditioner. It was the biggest silliest mistake I have made in a long time, even if it does have renewed life, bounce and the smell of nutritive micro fruit oils.

I look pretty decent in long hair, 'cause I got naturally-wavy hair. Even though I'll have to get my part moved if I want to really grow it out.

My hair is currently the longest I've ever had it (beyond shoulders) and I have to admit it is getting on my tits. It keep getting caught in things and it takes ages to wash and people mistake me for a girl and so on and so on... But since I'm a student I might as well fulfil all cliches while I can. Chances are I'll be moaning about having short (or no) hair for many years to come.

i've heard of people who have very long hair DOWN THERE, though this has never happened to me. Must be a bugger if you wear trousers, with zips and all..... PS: who sung this song? "Would you like to comb my hair; no not that hair but the hair down there; yes you would you know you would, you know you bloody would...tra la "...............well? Its very catchy.

Almost Cut My Hair- Crosby, Stillsand Nash. Great song! (especially on a summer afternoon with an ice cold G+T, a spliff and, of course, long hair getting in the way of everything) *damn hippies*

when my hair is long I look like Leo Sayer, hence my employment of a 24hr clipping service and shrine to the god of baldness, may he answer my prayers one day!

Just get very stressed, go ski-ing, get flu but still go out for the day on the slopes, hit a tree stump under the snow, get mild whiplash as a result, and the result will be total hairlessness.

it's a simple equation, everyone should follow it (student or not): men+long hair=bad women+long hair=good

Once a week is often too often. Once a fortnight is oK. You need to let the oil spread around IMO. Unless it's fair hair, as that can start to look weighed down. I'm not supporting people being dirty. I like clean bodies! I just think many people wash their hair too often. It becomes an addiction. [%sig%]

dare I ask on here what the practical reasons are?

I wash my hair most days, if I don't it gets greasy and looks dirty. I ain't vain but I have to have it looking clean. And inspite of the twattish 'silver mullet' remark made last week I ain't silver either. Nor grey. Nor thin on top.

You may, there's less spent on shampoo, conditioner and such like your, comb never goes asunder your hair dryer lasts twice as long and the mirror is usualy free. If you should be caught in the jungle there's always a free flowing collecter for water (asuming he is of the concave variety) less fluff in the dryer, all in all a better option [%sig%]

Purely selfish reasons then Lexy.

not washing your hair is very pertinent to me right now. we have no water due to thames water being a sham...my hair looks and feels terrible...thus i feel and look terrible. i agree that short hair on women is cool. but long hair on men is not, especially if it looks better than mine. and today that will be all of them.

Oh yes, I am acquainted with the jealousy factor. Maybe that's why I don't wish men to have gleaming hair. I look more masculine if I grow it, because then it feels I'm turning into my long haired brother who I resemble. I wash it more often than I approve of, but I usually make it look and feel dirty again with gloopy stuffs, within a couple of hours. [%sig%]
