Questions from a newcomer.....
Hi.....I joined up today. This looks like a very interesting...and quite active writing community. I look forward to participating.
Two questions to kick me off though.....
(1) Is it ok to submit parts of stories to the story board? Can we post a Part One and then a Part Two I mean?
(2) What exactly is the Cherry system? It looks neat...but how does it work? Do we readers have the chance to give another's work a Cherry Rating?
Once again....I look forward to this experience...and I hope that I am able to contribute something...

Dammit sexual favours is a great idea. Now i just need to get the adresses of female editors and i might actually get something chery picked. Then again i'm assuming all the editors are extremely desperate and would stoop to the level of excepting sexual favours off a guy who would sleep with someone for a cherry...hmmm that has connotations itself interesting........umm anyway bye!

Hi Scott, Welcome to the site. It is fine submitting parts of a story on the site. An average length of stories on the site is around 1500-2000 words, but it's up to you.
The cherry system is a system whereby the on-line editors pick what they believe to be a well written story/ quality writing. It must be stressed, as it causes a lot of angst to lots of people, that as objective as we try to be taste will obviously play a part, so even when something is not cherry picked this is not necessarily a sign that it is no good, it's just that that particular editor didn't deem it good enough in his/hers personal opinion.

Hello!
I just recently joined this web community about a week ago I think. I must say that it has been very enjoyable...
(especially the part where you get to wonder how these people active on the message boards got this way)
And if you don't get cherried on this website, like me, you can sulk all the day and dedicate the rest of your life trying to write something that the editors actually like. (I've got a doozy coming up for you next time, baby!)
Of course if bribery and sexual favors are really how you get cherried, then I had might as well quit here and now.
