Autumn is here and isn’t it fabulous to see a season full of the most wonderful colours?!
Before we look at this week’s picks, a couple of parish notices:
Firstly a reminder that we are a strictly no AI site. Anything found to have been created with any form of AI assistance will be removed.
Secondly, please have a shy at SoulFire77’s challenge which will earn the site valuable revenue. You can either have a guess at which 3 stories make up the Frankenplot or simply post a scary story before 30th October. Either way, it’s seasonal fun for a good cause.
My story of the week is Eric Marsh’s ‘Amanderella and the Mystery of Wittering Crags. Chapter 9.’ These stories of the indefatigable Amandarella are thoroughly entertaining and consummately written and this one is no exception.

Just to clarify, use of AI
Just to clarify, use of AI artwork is still tolerated? I rarely use it, but, as in the case of the Frankenplot artwork, it is sometimes nice to use. My daughter helps me with mine, but we both are wondering about the rules.

Thank you for the clarification. Hopefully, we can continue to create our best possible work even as the landscape changes for us. It's difficult to keep away from AI when it is embedded into nearly every search engine, word processing app, and other writing tool... All we can do is use our creativity. That's something AI will never truly have. It will always be an imitation of the creative.
