BREAKDOWN - Linda_Drake

Nice story about a disintegrating relationship.. with a neat twist in the end..

Just a comment Linda, I think the title may give too much away, too early.. perhaps COMPUTER BREAKDOWN.. may disguise it further..

absolutely. on the strength of this tale i am selling my computer, terminating my bt line, and returning to some good old fashioned values... like not having to rely upon a silly prop in order to ignore my nearest and dearest ones... just give me five more minutes... no, really

nice piece, as already said. I had to re-read the last sentence several times before the twist and the meaning sank in, I think the inclusion of the name confused me. It's always very difficult to keep the surprise till the very last moment. I've written a piece called "the cane mutiny" which is written entirely around a final paragraph twist and a few people have written to me asking for some degree of explaination but about 90% get it which is about where I aimed the "catch on" level. As far as I'm concerned, as long as all the clues are there then it's just down to the public to do the detective work. Nice piece, I think I've bumped up your star average. p.s Not only am I becoming Jeff but I found myself raising an impressed eyebrow over the golf software.....help!!!!!

Hey guys, if you get a laptop, you could bring it to events like tonights socialisation meeting.. That way you could still check your emails when you need to..
