I fought it too. every year I claim it's crap and end up hooked, it's like watching a car crash. It's the freedom to laugh and point without feeling guilty.

I've stopped now. Every year I say I won't watch it and I do (although not religiously) but this year the whole thing is really distressing and I have ended up watching huge chunks with my hands over my eyes which is really quite dumb. I hate the sort of bullying and mindlessness that is going on, it's lazy tv with lazy, stupid, cruel inmates and it upsets me to think that this is what huge numbers of people aspire to. Same applied to Celebrity Fuck Hut. I am also quite alarmed that my favorite is the ex Tory writer / MFH. If you had a whole house of people like him (he may not be your cup of tea but at least he has something to say) then I might be persuaded. As it is, I'd rather be here. Interesting experiment I conducted in the shower this morning (a bit off topic), I realised I have listened to The Archers pretty much every day since moving here (1 April) but I have taken in nothing and have absolutely NO IDEA what is going on at all. Is this normal? Is the Archers just a pretty theme tune and then lots of white noise? I am going to make a very conscious effort today and then give up.

I think one thing you need to sort out in your mind, mykle, is that many people here are capable of independant thought. The fact they reach the same conclusions about certain users of the phorum does not necessarily mean they are a clique or are under the influence of one person. Over the years - I've seen it time and time again - the person 'under attack' for want of a better phrase, assumes all his/her detractors are the same person in disguise. I suppose this is their brain's self-defence mechanism kicking in insofaras it can't believe so many people dislike them. Remember that bloke who posted the Torturing Tanya stuff? He did the same when many of us said we didn't like his work - he claimed all the aol postees were the same person. They weren't. BB tonight: The look on fat-woman's face when she heard the crowd boo her tell a similar story - she had no idea that her personality was hated by so many. Anyway, back to the point, you seem to be making the same assumption i.e. it is only Liana having a go at you (via her dogs as you call them) and you've also played guessing games as to who the anon server posts are and you have probably been emailing newbies and the two people in 'your camp' with your misguided thoughts in order to cause trouble (heh, I remember you mailed greco erroneous info about me - which did cause trouble). Have you considered that the people currently a go at you are thinking independantly? Have you thought about other ntl users that used to be regs but are now strangely silent? Nope. You simply accuse the last person to use ntl (in this case, Flash). Why don't you just stop it? Why not sit back and wonder why the threads seem to be deserted lately (apart from you and your two mates)? Ask yourself why the forum changed last week? I don't watch the soaps, all it is these days is actors shouting at each other, constantlessley, relentlessly shouting...and how true to find the kids of today brought up on this shit now argue and shout at each other, constantly, relentlessly. Relationsships in a soap - don't make me laugh, it's based on cynicism. Still at least BB gives me something to watch when I need to unwind, better than all those heartless, doomed soaps.
