What Do You Look Like?

If I ever learn to place a photograph onto this site - well then I will. I still don't know how to send an attachment. But I cannot let a calumny stand. Heavy Metal! Pah! I played mainly in funk and soul bands. Though I must admit that the last band I played in (I told them I'd help them temporarily - it lasted 18 months) was a hard rock band. We were described as being a cross between Elvis Costello and The Beatles. Go figure. This was because the brilliance of the singer/guitarists song writing. I've met him a couple of times recently completely rat-arsed. I've never been able to figure out whether addicts are attracted to the Rock/Pop/Funk/Jazz music scene, or whether the music scene turns us into addicts. By the way he's one of the most phenomenal guitarist this country never got to see. Well apart from the few punters who got to see us in North London. What do I look like? I've been described as looking like Warren Beatty, but after 45 years of alcoholism.

So no glitch on abctales. Ive never come across a thread this long before and kept looking on page 1. Where will it all end? Tears I shoudn't wonder.

I grew a beard once, it was all scratchy and ginger and made me look like a german backpacker.

Y'all can find pictures of many ABCTalers on my web site, accumulated over the years (mostly) at live events and (mostly) taken by Mississippi. Click on 'begin your journey here' and go to the various Rogue's Gallery sections. www.thymeworks.com
Had a look. Hmmm. Everything I said about anyone's description: I lied.
Mental images - right (look, it's four thirty in the morning and I've been out so...) Fergal is an emerald eyed, red haired, celtic type colleen, knocking mud off her boots before she sits down at her computer. Now the bandages are off, Jude is back to wafting about in the rather fetching outfit she wore in the wedding photos. Enzo looks just like his web picture, but is leaping behind a sofa, pulling up schematics of his living room on his mobile. I DID have a mental image of Camus, but I can’t remember what it was since she mentioned she’d been compared to Anastasia (I think) and I said, ‘I didn’t expect Camus to look like Anastasia! and then realised I had Anastasia confused with another singer, so now Camus has wild hair and goes around singing, ‘I hate you so much right now…’ to any lecturer who is not forthcoming with extensions. Presently, BBF is striding over the Downs in a long black coat with a guitar slung over his back. Liana, is a pair of large brown eyes behind a cityscape of books. Fish is a mass of gipsy hair disappearing into a garden shed.
I just had a peek through the Abc Rogue's Gallery, for old time's sake, like. Egad, we're an ugly bunch! I mean, I know the lighting's bad at Extra Time, but cripes! Thank goodness for alcohol, eh?
In most of the pictures on Thymeworks I look like a dishevelled and recently widowed refugee. Now that the bandages are off I'm back to wafting around in outfits rather like the one I wore to the wedding. (btw - I had KEYHOLE surgery on my brain via an artery in my groin so there were no bandages!)

I wish I did look like Anastasia! (more like Anne Diamond today.) Am kind of loving the image of me roaming uni looking for unsuspecting lecturers to sing at, (although am sure they would simply fail me if I did)
Oh and I can verify that Pesk looks nothing like those pics on Justyn's site, is MUCH better in real life. I meant to ask earlier Pesky, had you by any chance just woken up on one of those?
I've just looked at Hox's piccie on this site...ha ha...very good!

You can all complain as much as you like. My camera doesn't lie.

Yeah I know I USED to look like a dishevelled recently widowed refugee.

My eyes aren't specially big, but they are quite blue, due to my contact lenses. Particularly liked the bit about spack looking a bit like Preston from the Ordinary Boys. Sure he'll thank you for that! "I have a room for life at the Home for the Chronically Groovy."
