Booktribes.com is launched

We have a new sister site - http://www.booktribes.com and we urge you all to get on over there and take a look.

What ABCtales.com is for writers, booktribes.com is for readers. It aims to be the major community for those who love reading and want to share their experiences with others. You can tell us what you're reading now, what you have read in the past and what are your favourites.

From this information, as numbers build, you will get recommendations for books you may well want to read, the opportunity to join virtual book clubs to discuss your favourites and much much more.

As an ABCtales member you are already logged with booktribes. Just put in your username with '@abctales.com' added on after it - and use your usual password. None of your personal details or passwords have been passed over and all your data protection rights are maintained - it's just that both systems are built in the same language (drupal) and this is possible between drupal sites.

I am really keen that as many of you as possible try out this new site! Let us know what you think of it on the 'booktalk' forum on there! Thankyou in anticipation. Tony
I'll tell ya here and now, I've enjoyed nosing round the site, and joined it straight off - I didn't even finish reading the above thread, so registered the slow way, like an average punter... It's cool.
I like it very much - bit annoying having multiple editions of every book though, you don't know which one to rate.

Like it, Best of Luck with it.
Thankyou folks - and good to hear from you, Gerry! The book data is a bit of a pain - it comes from Neilson's and costs a fair bit but we need to knock it about a bit. Imagine the joy of loading up that number of books, blurbs and images though!
