Any site that asks you to pay something for being in a 'selected' category is a worry. It's not a scam in that it doesn't do anything that it doesn't ask you about beforehand, it doesn't steal your money or your work - but if you choose to regard your 'selection' as an indication of your literary worth then I would suggest that you should think again.

ANY - and I mean ANY company that asks you to PAY for your work to be in print, or on cd, or whatever...is a fucking scam. CMON - wake up! Unless you have an ego the size of the empire state building, and are that desperate to see your work in print, despite talent, or demand - then you're beong duped. Fuck 'em. The less interest these crooks can rake in, the more oppo's for real talent. Let's retain the dignity, or we're all fucked. Writing is a profession....let's not lose that. footnote: I'm not a writer
