Guest Editor

I think Martin Togher has done a good job today, I know he's sweated over his choices and I know that he really put the work in.

Robert is doing next Tuesday - I'm minded to give it at least one more go after that, with a slightly different selection method.

The first person to email me with THEIR choice as Guest Editor and a brief reason why, will have that person selected as Guest Editor (provided of course that the person wants to do it).

The Guest Editor will not be able to select a piece of work by the person who nominated them, just to make sure we are all fair and above board.

...it was exhausting but rewarding, I discovered a lot more very good writers as well as read more of writers I was already familiar with, as I said ..the two I picked just kept tugging at me....it took over my life for 3 or 4 days, sneaking reads at work, not watching telly, staying up late, not being obnoxious on the forums...and I honestly read over a 1000 pieces, I didn't have the time to read more but even if I had, those two would probably still have been my choices.......

I think that counts as a good result - two writers got onto the front page, a thousand people had their hit count boosted, Martin found loads of interesting new writers. And nobody has accused Martin of picking his mates yet.

Okay, Funky has nominated Chant to be Guest Editor, which will be the first Tuesday in December. I have had another nomination, and when / if the mystery person says yes, I'll let you know.
