Hey. Got a few short things publshd in a magazine in England. Aalst. A new one.

Also, recieved phone call from excited Fother. "You've had a poem published, son!" he said, after having opened the envelope.

"And they say you might win a prize or something."

"And they want 50 quid for a book or something..."

Well. Forget that one, then. I refuse to fall victim to this. Paying 50 sheets for an obscure book of hundreds of poems wherin will be nestled my short effort.

Shouldn't be allowed.

Do they turn down ANY poems?

Because mine wasn't exactly inspiring...

If it's a vanity press pubn (sure sounds like it) then NO they don't turn anything down (hence the essence of a vanity press publisher) I'm wondering if it's who I wrote about and posted on this site? (pleasee see my article - Help Wanted - desperate for a rejection slip..) Please let me know.

I had a look for your post, but to no avail. I think I posted a poem on Poetry.com a while back. They then "wrote" to "me" with offers of prizes and other crap. I won't be going near that site again, I think. Shame: it has a nice name. Unique. (I'd like to read your post if you can locate it for me.)
