Lost Authors

Before ABC fell into its coma I was in the habit of using the random button (a lot like Lord Flashheart's description of war "the blood, the noise, the endless poetry" except without the blood or the noise) and found many gems but was often forced to swiftly close the window when the boss approached. I would then -of course- promptly forget the title of what I was reading and the name of the author.

So can anyone help me find either of these:

A first person series about a very introspective teenage girl (probably Australian - the character not the author) spending summer at the beach.

A sci-fi / fantasy piece possibly called 'Complicity' (although I've looked through 35 pages of stories beginning with C this morning and didn't find it) to do with a man from the tribe visiting his goddess and chock full of sex and violence.
