Well I would never have known. Martin had very respectable hair when I saw him yesterday (and I'm sure that wasn't *just* the gin seeing things) (did it use to be as high as Michael Douglas in One Night at McCool's?)

Hey Emma, I didn't exaggerate anyone's anything, I just clean up the backgrounds, remove extraneous lights and people. And anyway, i think the pic of you is really nice. Don't know why Beth is grumbling, I think she looks very sophisticated in her matching outfit. I DID wonder what it was she was rummaging in her bag for though. Maybe I'll send one of the twerp in Scarborough, and give EVERYONE a bloody good laugh.

I just saw the vid - brill - strangely surreal. I have never seen myself on camera before and I look JUST LIKE my sister, which I never knew before. I have never seen myself say 'As I was pissing into a cat litter tray' before either. It's nice to see it trips off my tongue fairly easily. Oh, and why is Tim on the front page now?

There is unfortunately a rather mundane reason for Tim replacing Tony on the front page. I wanted a nice action shot, to convey what actually happens at an ABCtales live event, but found that the only one that we actually had on file was the one of Tony looking excited. I dropped George an email and he furnished me with photos of the event last week, hence the photo of Tim in full flow. See, I told you it was mundane. I had a cracking time on thursday, and it was extremely nice to see you all again/for the first time. As ever, there wasn't enough time to natter. I'm really glad you all enjoyed it, and gave by extension a big thumbs up for all the stuff we're trying to do. I know we aren't perfect, but we are trying to do stuff that we think is important and, by golly, are we getting better at it. What always strikes me when I meet up with ABCtales folks is just how nice a bunch of people you all are. I have to admit that I'm not too keen on live literature events usually, because they're such cold, haughty affairs, with a horrid feel of only partially hidden cross currents of resentment, envy, self- aggrandisement or just pure grumpy snobbery. When I go to one, I often feel 'so what?' when I walk away: 'That was okay, but what do I do now?'. I hope that we managed to do something different. If it's of any interest, I go away from these events thinking 'I want to write and perform!'. It may be lucky for the rest of you that I never get the time.

I think some of us must be having downstream server problems coz all I get is a 404 error (page not found). The prob isn't at my end either because I've always been able to view Justyn's site and Hox's site is the same platform. I'm off to thymeworks now to see these pics!

Argggh! Am now dreading the video ... if 404 ever lets me see the site, that is.
