Just another Bloody Saturday by Slack

There are some lovely images in this, describing a five-year-old's first experience of being in a football crowd. I loved the description of the coats, the large hands, the noise, the parts of the stand the boy could see and the scene at half-time. In fact, I really enjoyed most of it. I'd only say that if the writing was a little simpler in places, especially at the beginning, it would show of the stronger images to better effect. I found the writing a little over-crowded at times (excuse the pun).
