I also think that in a new europe with flights so cheap we could get over there and make a bit of noise. Call it the 'new European human rights movement', all it take is a bit of organsiation and good manipulation of media.
we could also kick it off in the UK to make our 'politicians' act on this urgently. Hows about we stop a british city on saturday on this cause. Call it the new europe and people power against human rights abuses. All it would take is word of mouth. I could probably have few thousand in any British city by saturday and of course JK. While I do think that it is important that we treat animals with respect and don't say we shouldn't be aware of animal abuse issues, this is a luxury, and there are other priorities. People who are obsessed with animal rights abuses seem to say that it is because animals can't speak for themselves and someone has to do that for them. Why be the voice of an animal when, with the same zeal and energy, you can speak for a child or indeed any human rights abuse? I feel these people have given up on the human race. Now, this I can understand - but it's a shame to put your compassionate energies into something by default, so to speak. It's a shame for the human race, I mean.
Well, everyone has to fight their own corner... animal rights are important too, but yes, it puts it into perspective.

yeah well loony schemes seem to work sometimes, as the world proves. Its children involved here. Direct action works sometimes as has been 'PROVED'. But i suppose as hens post said it seems that a lot of men in the Uk are turning in to placid females..

There most effective way of getting the story to the masses would be for one of them to take up this 'fight', hopefully then 'celebs' can get themselves some decent publicity out of it.

Type what you want to say and the site will format as a letter an automatically fax it on to your MP.
Maybe the best thing to do would be to put together an email with the details, with a link to faxyourmp.com at the bottom so that people can hit as many MPs across the county as possible.
MPs are hungry to answer and get involved with things like this. Write a polite yet impassioned letter and see what happens. No-one can argue that things like the above aren't wrong, so there should be a take up.
