People Who Look Better ...

There is a girl I was at school with like that. We were sort of mates and I hadn't seen her for a few years and then saw her floating back down the aisle after communion at Church - make-up perfect, clothes immaculate, not a hair our of place. I had just been cleaning out my Dad's attic and was frizzy haired and wearing dusty jeans and a dirty t shirt so I didn't say hello. But I have a secret...when we were at school her fave subject was English and she despised me for being better at creative writing than her. They say its 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration well I had the spark but am bone idle. She worked hard and though good in a conventional sense was never anything special. She now works in PR (ha ha ha) she never made it to be a great writer of journalist as she had dreamed. And she is still to this day jealous of even the tiny, modest writing succes. and she disses my best mate just cos she dropped out of Uni twice (snob!) So perhaps the effort to look so well groomed is striving for a perfectionism on the outside that on the inside is unattainable? j

So never feel like crap...revel in your sweaty grubby look (unless you are at a wedding in which case have a shower first) I know it sounds cheesy to say "Its the person inside that matter" but it is true! But I understand that look-good-feel-good factor too.

Germans.

Oh, definitely not Germans. The women still wear polka dot stuff. I would say the Swedes.

But they still wear pigtails.

Sorry - the main offenders are definately French women. That's the real reason Queen Liz I sent in all those fire ships - she had a great big frizzy-haired chip on her shoulder. [%sig%]
