"There's nothing worse than..."

Has anyone noticed how whenever the above phrase

is used, it is always in relation to something really

trivial, like...

- getting a big smudge on your glasses
- having a sock that doesn't quite fit
- thinking you still had a square of chocolate left

...whereas actually there are much worse things, such

as...

- being tortured to death with gerbils
- having all you limbs amputated
- having your bits sliced off and replaced with an

electric tin opener

...?

It boggles the mind, so it does!

(PS. has anyone noticed how I'm really bored today

and don't want to do any "proper" work...?)

I seem to have forgotten to close the italics! Here goes then... :-) * P * :-) ( Read my blog! - www.oddcourgette.blogspot.com )

There's nothing worse than when someone forgets to close the italics, it sends my eyes wappy.

How inane can these threads get?

there's nothing worse than our George coming on and having a little moan!

I hate to disappoint my public, Jude.

Is wappy not in your dictionary Pepsoid?
There's nothing worse than eating your own head. (sadly not, Camus... and I'm not too wappy about it...) :-) * P * :-) ( Read my blog! - www.oddcourgette.blogspot.com )

I'm merely trying as kindly as possible to help you see that topics such as this are better placed on kids fora, not those frequented by supposed adults. I realise also that I'm pissing in the wind, but with a couple of days to while away before I come home I find it vaguely amusing to ruffle the kids feathers.

You may or may not have deduced from the fiction I post here, Sippi, but I for one believe in the value of being "in touch" with one's "inner child"... :-) * P * :-) ( Read my blog! - www.oddcourgette.blogspot.com )

My powers of deduction were not exactly challenged, though I concluded that you are for the most part, inside out.

Why thank you, that's the nicest thing you've said all day! :-) :-) * P * :-) ( Read my blog! - www.oddcourgette.blogspot.com )

I like pepsoid's joie de vivre. It makes a refreshing change from over-serious Writers and curmudgeonly Old Gits.
Sincere thanks to you, AG! In truth I too can be over-serious and curmudgeonly (not to mention an Old Git), but I try to keep such tendencies away from these forums... I am here what I would most ideally like to be! I have noticed you too have been countering Missi's personally directed "wit" with joie de vivre-ery... tiz the best way, methinks... :-) * P * :-) ( Read my blog! - www.oddcourgette.blogspot.com )
