The Contender

One Hollywood Movie that was intensely well-written was the Contender.

The political processes in Washington are intensely contradictory. George Bush is tough on security, but it seems that he is only tough on Middle East Security. While detaining thousands and thousands of Arabs because of security concerns after 09/11/2001, he does barely nothing about the security concerns with Mexico (War on Drugs), IRA, and other organizations. In fact, he lets them go.

The Contender shows how "spin" gets one across the dangerous bridge of these contradictions.
