Uncovering The Myth Behind Magic
It is always said, a good magician keeps his secrets under his hat. Well not anymore. This half term, children and adults alike are invited to discover the secrets behind the tricks, switch the light on the dark arts, and uncover those illusions that have stumped audiences for centuries.
Millfield Magic is a home-grown day of activities, aimed at teaching children and adults how to perform magic. The day culminates in a spectacular evening show of magic, music and comedy, and in which one lucky person will get the chance to perform on stage alongside professional magicians!
This show is the sixth in a series of Magic Spectaculars (MS), featuring magicians, comedians and musicians in an evening of fun and amazement. The last two productions were presented at the Bloomsbury Theatre, but now MS makes the trip northbound to teach a whole new audience the secrets behind the trade!
Richard McDougall (former world open champion for close up magic), Pete Firman (Channel 5's Monkey Magic), Roy Davenport (of the legendary magic Davenport family), and the west end singer Pili Lopez are all accompanied by a 7 piece live band. This is a magic show of the kind the world has never seen before!
This is definitely not just a show for kids. The magic is dark. The lights are low. The music is loud, and the miracles are real.
There are two workshops, one for the 7-12 year olds, and one for 12 yrs ' adult, and workshops are free if you buy a ticket for the evening show.
