Thursday Night

I may be unobservant, but other than the lovely post on the front page, I can't see a thread about the event on Thursday.

Just to say thanks to everyone who organised it. I had a 'lovely time', and even managed to read without shaking too much (prolific gin consumption helped). Thanks to anyone who bought me a drink. Loved many of the readings, and was disappointed at somehow missing out speaking to milkstone, whose poetry I love. Dan's story was even better out loud (I think I kept telling him this over and over near the end, when the gin was kicking in). I never read the poem Enzo printed out for me to read, but maybe next time. I don't think I can really call my poems 'poems' anyway, more like 'inappropriate confessions'.

A few of my friends came along and they seemed to enjoy the readings - and importantly - the cake.

Looking forward to the Brighton one (which is on my 29th birthday no less).

If anyone is ever doubtful about reading at an abctales event, may I say that there is no nicer place to try stuff out. I used to hate reading out loud, and now - gasp - I actually enjoy it.

Happy Birthday!

'all cake is good cake'
Is there a date for the Brighton gig? It is a little easier for me to get there, and I might show my face, don't know about reading anything though. Might just eat cake.
