I guess English is not Windrose's first language and so he uses it in ways that are fresh and vibrant, and creates terms and phrases that can be quite striking, and which I would never have thought of.
This piece has many and I pick this one arbitrarily - "there would be a bruise of trouble at the slightest." The overall effect is quite disjointed but it has a stream-of-consciousness quality.
Refreshing.
