This could do with a little editing for quotations and such. The descriptions are great and I was sucked in to the story, so to speak. The lighthearted ending is a cool relief to the intensity of the rest of it.

Thanks for the flag Archergirl, glad you enjoyed this little piece of ecological terrorism. I didn't think folks on the right side of the Atlantic expierenced hurricanes so wasn't expecting much of a response. Originally, all of Jake's internalized thoughts were in italics but the formatting got screwed up after posting. Anyway thanks again for making my day!

Ah, but I was born in Florida, so I'm not quite as removed from it as you might think! The formatting always seems to need tweaking on this site. Can't do nuthin' fancy! -AG
