Muslim Religion And Violence.

Anyone who describes Islam as a religion as intolerant encourages violence" - Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam.

Should I tell him or will you? Styx.

The world gets more ridiculous every day...
This all comes back to thought control. If you say something I don't agree with, I'll kill you. This argument is nothing more than "we have the right to control your thoughts and words" Well, you don't. Another story in the news along this line. http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/books/09/21/turkey.novelists.trial.ap/in... I just love thought police. Visit me http://www.radiodenver.org/

I think Pope Benedict said what he said deliberately to provoke a reaction. He isn't a stupid man and he has advisors. I reckon the intention was to provoke a counter-reaction from the apathetic Catholics of Europe. Perhaps he will conspire for a hired gunman to shoot him (not fatally) to compound the reaction . The gunman will repent and convert to Catholicism, Dan Brown will write a novel about it set in Bavaria and copy the descriptive passages from germantourism.com

Well, if you look at what Aslam said, it is technically an accurate statement. It isn't a denial, it's a warning. (careful you don't poke your eye out when you play with that stick) I think he knows exactly what he said. Visit me http://www.radiodenver.org/

Did anyone (in the UK) catch the interview on the Today programme this morning at 8.10 (worth a 'listen again') between John Humphries and the guy who heckled John Reid? Disturbing stuff. The guy was ranting about how Muslims are being harrassed by police - stop and search, etc. Okay, his anger may be understandable. But he seemed completely unaware of the fact that the volume of his voice and the rancour in it, plus his not too well-disguised implications, will probably lead to an increase in police suspicion and harrassment rather than anything else. Where that will lead I dread to think.
Going we're to handcart all in handcart a hell. Re-arrange.

Muslims come across as a bunch of pathetic self-pitying spoiled brats. If they are looking for sympathy, they are certainly going about it the wrong way. "You don't need the light of the Lord to read the handwriting on the wall." Copies of Warsaw Tales available through www.new-ink.org
I know the 'thought control' (ideological panic) stuff is worth getting angry about, but people ought to be careful about making crass (& possibly racist) generalisations like the one just above this post, don't you think. Or was that some kind of joke I missed?
Muslims are beautiful people, like Italians (italian women). The Koran is a beautiful book. The five pillars are beautiful. Muhammed was a beautiful man. Muhammed is weeping. Muhammed is sitting in a dark place, his brittle, beautiful hands clasped firmly over his eyes; weeping. Umar is jeering. Politicians are sneering. America is cheering. And the God fearing are wiping out bowls, washing clothes and silently praying. If you would like me to bear witness then sit with me and weep as Muhammed weeps. Weep as Muhammed weeps :( There's nothing more mind-teasing than the incomprehensible eagerly avowed - Dennett

It seems to me that every act of terrorism in the west in the years since the IRA started to behave themselves, apart from one, (Timothy McVeigh), was carried out by moslems. Make of that what you will. As I've said before, it makes no damned difference what any religious tract/book says, it's the way that the religion is practised that's important, and most seem to either ignore the book or interpret it to suit their ends.

I kind of agree with the second paragraph, but there is a danger in equating "Moslem Terrorists" with "Moslems." ~PEPS~ You can’t finish a man till he’s finished his Texan Bar
