thought it was a good poem as well. Maybe the people who rated it low were nine inch nails fans. Or just people who get easily offended, though I didn't find it offensive. I liked it because it was raw reality and how you felt. It was human. It's how I feel at times too - trapped. I have noticed quite a few people get low ratings sometimes for good pieces, and it puzzles me, I don't know why it happens. I wonder if there might be some people who do it on purpose, because they think its funny or they are jealous. I don't know if there are people like that, I hope that notion is just in my head, but at times I wonder, seems strange your poem was rated so low. It definately didn't deserve to be given such a low rating. Sorry I can't give you a detailed critique or anything, not an expert on the technical side of things yet. Can only give you my opinion as a reader. I thought it was good anyway.

I was in portsmouth once and had several good ratings.

thanks...i guess it's just a matter of taste...it would be a shame if people do give low ratings just for the fun of it... that completely defeats the purpose of having a site where your peers can rate your work...

Nancy, I found 'trapped' quite intriguing and far more worthy of a higher rating but I'm new here and up to now the ratings do seem weirdish. I've yet to be rated so that either means I'm under rated or over rated. Maybe this is a cool place to be trapped?
