Don Gibson

Another one bites the dust. Don was probably best known for 'Sea Of Heartbreak' but he had many more good songs to his credit and was covered many times by other artists.

I don't believe he ever played the Bumsbury though, or chewed the fat with the administrator.

If you keep name-dropping at this rate Rita, Larph will toss a tantrum, he can't cope with anybody else knowing a famous person. Mind you I find your reminiscinces fascinating, you have some more?

C'est la vie, eh, Ralph? You can't ensnare all the big superstars before they snuff it, I guess. At the height of his career though, I think he played Missi's local in Essex.

Your're showing your ignorance again Dicko. Don Gibson was a hugely successful songwriter whose work included 'I Can't Stop Loving You', covered by over 700 artists. He wrote hits for Patsy Cline and Ray Charles among others, but was never to my knowledge published in an obscure Canadian comic. NFG? Now I wonder what that could possibly stand for!

I understand it stands for "no ******* genre" (although there does seem to be a big horror-sci-fi presence in there). Don't get confused with the old Merchant Navy motto: No Fu.cking Girls of the Night.

I think Don Gibson was a wonderful singer with a very smooth voice. He was a great songwriter also. Seems like they die in bunches for some reason. Glad to see everyone again. I still can't get to rate this story,is it just me or is it still buggy.

You've obviously never been in the navy, dicko. Just as well really, you wouldn't last five minutes. (It more likely means, especially in your case, No F...ing Good)
