Ignoring the racial profiling of Missi's comment, (a particular racial group are prone to stupidity) Hezbollah's stated aim is the removal of Israel. So a cease-fire must only be that. Expect full-fire to begin sooner rather than later.

I'm not sure Missi was implying that a certain racial group lacks intelligence (but perhaps *are* the proud owners of large trouser-snakes, a statement I *might* be inclined to agree with...*cough*), but that particular military and political groups lack intelligence. I would say that in this particular episode, people on both sides of the wall acted with stupidity. Hezbollah is just covering its/their arse with this 'oops' statement. The people I feel sorry for are the poor Lebanese civilians. Beirut was just getting rebuilt, too.

I see styx is standing in for slimey, with his accusations of racism, and like said slime, he's wrong too. Hezbollah isn't a racial group, just a ragbag of dangerous morons who think they can get what they want from the spout of a gun. I'm not sure it's possible to separate terrorists from 'civilians' when they all dress the same and live in the same areas. Perhaps the 'civilians' should have requested the terrorists to go elsewhere.

Just the one tiny bit of your thesis wrong, or rather necessary but omitted. You can only get what you want from the barrel of a gun IF you're the biggest bully in the playground. Wanky hezbollah do what most cowards do. They hide among the weak and innocent in the full knowledge that they can't be killed without some of their human shields going with them. I repeat, Hezbollah are responsible for the deaths of any innocents in that conflict.
