You Were Right and I Was Wrong ...

i just wondered if any of you other talers have had one of those situations where the other person was right and you were wrong ...

*dons t shirt emblazoned with words I'm Not Often Right and I'm Wrong Again* ...

When I was selling TimeShare in Portugal in the late eighties, I remember my mate, Craig, having a stand-up row with our boss, Laurence Maison. Suddenly, Laurence's little boy walked in the room. Afterwards he said to Craig, "What were you and my daddy arguing about?" Craig replied, "Oh, nothing much, son. I was wrong. Your daddy was right." I learned a lot from that little incident.

*hangs head* sorry.....yes..kind of.... wont do it again, its dead annoying. But is a good thread.... I once swore blind that Smokey Robinson had done a particular song (cant recall which one) whilst I was playing a game of trivial pursuit with my dad. I went to huge efforts to cover up my mistake, even tearing the relevant page out of the guiness hit singles book so i couldnt be found out. (heinous crime in our house) Absolutely bloody ludicrous, but I knew how much my dad would crow when he was right and l was wrong. Now you know where I get it from.....

And the Man from Del Monte said Yes! It ain't for me to say what words are OK - they all look fine to me. Can you imagine artists having the same debate? 'Mmm.. I really don't think we should use ultramarine in our paintings - think of all those people who lost relatives in the Titanic'.
