OK OK...I love Dotty too, along with Gogol and Tolstoy. I shall be watching with interest, as apparently are the Russians. This is not a book to them, it is a national institution. No pressure there then.

interesting i'm hoping this won't fail like all the attempts at filming the trial, and that it's not a dismal film four thing, becoming some kind of sick esther rantzen travelogue. ill be watching with undue interest, apart from perhaps on the 14th when i can't get out of bed because i don't get a card. sulk.
