origami
all those people trying to make squirrels and budgies and stuff, how sad is that
like you have to be really clever to bend bits of paper, do me a favour
*But can you do it?*
No, that's the whole point, I've got better things to do with my time.
I could understand it if these origami people were folding paper to make something useful like envelopes, but chickens and tortoises - give me a break.
the finished pieces are real works of art. Some of the pieces have dozens of folds and need the patience of a saint. Just because a sculpture is made of paper doesn't make it worthless.
But can you do it?
i do a very good antelope ...
Origami is my whimisical ambition. I want so bad to be able to rustle up little animals and flowers to impress children.
I have a vision of myself as an old stooped man with twinkly eyes, producing origami things for kids and presenting them with a wink.
God, my whimsy gland is in overdrive.
why bother learning when you can buy it ready made
