We're so obsessed with arguing about who deserves awards and who doesn't we've completely forgotten the person who hands them out. For all her tireless work on behalf of the UK and the Commonwealth it's about time someone gave Her Majesty The Queen a CBE or OBE.

Hate to drag football, and Tottenham Hotspur into this thread, but I'm going to anyway. The big, unreported story from the annual dishing out of gongs is the ongoing SCANDAL that is the refusal of the establishment to knight Bill Nicholson. Spurs fans will know what I'm talking about, everyone else can carry on drooling over Sir Alex. Had to get that off my chest.
