The Inside Out Festival presents Blake Morrison and Maura Dooley in conversation at Somserset House. This event is both a celebration and an exploration of Creative Writing as a taught subject within Higher Education.

It presents some of the exciting writing produced by students from the MA in Creative and Life Writing at Goldsmiths, University of London. As part of the course, students are given a platform to publish their work online and (later) in a print anthology. The subject matter of recent contributions to the Goldfish website ranges from murder, vampirism and sexual intrigue to building sites, office life and family relationships.

Following a selection of student readings, Blake Morrison and Maura Dooley, both of whom are staff tutors on the Goldsmiths course, will discuss what it means to teach Creative Writing.
