It's all in the edit...
I was never so conscious of the dramatic effects of selective editing as I was after I'd seen three versions of the same interview with Monica Lewinsky after Clinton's Biog. came out. I'd first seen the interview (BBC I think, but not sure) in it's entirety, and it was pretty level-headed. Later I saw selections from the same interview patched together to show, firstly, Monica Lewisnky as totally hard-done-by, gullible victim and secondly as self-serving, manipulative, bi*ch. It was quite staggering.

I'm trying to stop smoking and I think it is affecting my ability to be lucid.
Oh well done - how long? I was spacey for at least 2 days.

It's been nearly 22 hours. I just feel like shit and have the urge to chase otters.
........... and then I started drinking twice as fast because I didn't have a fag in one hand. But I'm completely over it now.
[%sig%]
Well those otters have been asking for it, if you ask me.

Did you smoke alot, Tim, as in every hour or so? Because I remember for the first couple of days of quitting, I used to wake up in the night due to nicotine withdrawal - weird. Went after 48+ hours though - totally out of system after 3 days.

Yes i smoke a lot, but i've given up before and i thought it would be easier by now. I didn't even mean to give up, I was just coughing so much this morning, that I didn't have a fag and it kinda went on from there.
Well that's the way to do it. Just give yourself another day off the fags and take it from there. They say if you drink extra water it helps the nicotine pass through your system quicker. If you've broken the physical habit of smoking before, then once the true cravings pass it should be easier.

*lights up and checks watch*
Damn, only 25 mins.
