Brilliant, Emma! Funerals eh?

Was it supposed to make me laugh?

Ban noisy shoes!

Can I just say that I think noisy high-heeled shoes should be banned from offices?

You listening, ladies?! (& transvestites)

Here I am, sitting with my back to a main walkway, constantly hearing that deafening clip-clopping behind my back, each passing personage causing a minor earth tremor in my general vicinity...

...There goes another...

Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!

Pass this law now, Mr. Blair!!!

A very peeved...

Oprah's Book Club Rises from the Dead

There is something so idiotically American about the Oprah Winfrey book club, it boogles the imagination, at least mine. To me Oprah is the modern equivalent of some ancient Nubian Fertility Goddess promising riches beyond imagining to those who bow and kiss her feet. Her TV show only has two formats: weepy women complaining about having been born female and Worshiping Bling Bling.

I've been a bit like that recently, Dan... I thought it was 'flu.
Maybe it's just thinking too much. Accept the invitation and change your life!
It occured to me that writers often trade reality for imagination in the name of entertainment or lose truth to metaphor in the name of clarity... this piece seems to blend both techniques through the bottom of a bottle :o) That is - I liked it.

Wondering, by lillmissbitch

I read this, with a slightly tight feeling in my gut. The charactor is an all to familiar victim of her past. I felt for her, but really wanted to shout, 'Don't Allow The Bastards to Grind you Down Girl'. The Dead emotion and it seemed acceptance of her lot in life, really annoyed me. I wanted to shake her into realising that we are all responsible for our own lives. Yes we can blame incidents of trauma for ruining our existance, but we can also rise above it. Put it where it belongs, 'In the Bin' and grow from our experiences. Help others do the same.
