I recently appeared on the Scots Wae Hae podcast to discuss my new book. I have attached the link in case anyone fancies listeing to it.

 

FamilyMan has received brilliant reviews with Undiscovered Scotland saying it's one of the best crime books to come out of Edinburgh. And the Scotsman newspaper reffered to me as North Edinburgh's Tarantino.

enjoyed listening. seven Aldo books? four to go? I know who the Sopranos are or were, but I've not watched Tony. But I get that vibe.

Thanks for taking the time to watch the podcast I really appreciate it mate. It's great you enjoyed it. Yeah seven books is always how I envisioned it would take to wrap up Aldo's story. I know how it will end for him and have a good idea of what will happen in between. One of the books will be a prequel to show Aldo cutting his teeth in organised crime. Oh mate you need to watch The Sopranos it's genius. In my opinion it's the best tv show ever made. The first season appears a bit more slapstick than what it morphs into and I'm not the biggest fan of season 5. I would avoid the prequel film they made a few years back it's dire. But the writing is sublime in the show. People assumed Aldo was influenced by Begbie but it was always my intention to create a Scottish version of Tony Soprano.
